Center Pivot Variable Rate Irrigation (VRI)
Variable Rate Irrigation (VRI) is a method used in precision irrigation to apply variable amounts of water in different field areas according to the changing terrain.
Implementing the VRI technology in a central pivot requires unique valve technical capabilities, mainly because the valve operation is highly intensive and includes many open/close cycles.
In order to accomplish this, Baccara has developed a special solenoid valve, part of the GEM SOL® industrial solenoid line, that can reach over 1,200,000 cycles and has high resistance to dirty water that contains solids such as sand frequently used in irrigation installations around the world.
